PEACE FELT 2010!
Help Create a Circle of Peace Felt Around the World in 2010
Create a work of art using handmade felt which symbolizes peace or unconditional love
to give to receive from your peace partners somewhere else in the world!
March 2010 – registration opened
July 2010 – we will start sending out Partners in Peace Assignments
August 1, 2010 – registration closes, final Partners in Peace Assignments created
September 21, 2010 – The International Day of Peace
Please consider publicly displaying/exhibiting your PEACE FELT through this day, holding a workshop to create works for PEACE FELT or even creating your PEACE FELT on this day.
September 21 – September 30
Your PEACE FELT should be mailed to your Receiving Partner at this time. Please communicate with them and let them know when and how it is being shipped.
Please send us a picture of your Peace Felt, or upload it to the account you created when you registered. Of course you don’t “have” to wait this long to send us your pictures, you can send them anytime and we will add them to our blog and website gallery!

Getting ready for Mehmet's Santa Fe Class, last time we were there it was 2005.
So for the first time since 2005 I am cleaning wool and getting ready. How do you get the madder root out of the wool fiber after you dye it?? The colors are wonderful although can't be used for my FeltUnited project.

FeltUnited - International Day of Felt – October 2nd 2010
Felt – intertwined, bound together, forever as one - United.
FeltUnited's theme for 2010 are the colours
from yellow through green to blue. Another piece of the colour wheel. The
same rules apply as last year, it is okay if you use another colour in your
piece, but no more than 3% if you want your work to be included in the
online exhibit.
So, write it down (Oct 2nd, 2010) - invite others and ...tell the world that
FeltUnited day is coming!
